Wales and the Romantic Imagination

Wales and the Romantic Imagination is the first study devoted exclusively to the appropriation of Wales—its landscape, history, and culture—by writers of the Romantic period. Interest in Celtic influence on these writers is on the rise, and the essays collected here represent a key contribution to ongoing debates over the Romantics’ relations to issues of national identity, antiquarianism, politics, print culture, and gender.
