Salman Rushdie

Providing an introduction to the work of Salman Rushdie, Stephen Morton places his fiction in a clear historical, critical and theoretical context. He explores Rushdie’s biography, the histories of migration, decolonization and nationalism that inform his major works, and his relevance to contemporary culture. STEPHEN MORTON is Lecturer in Anglophone Literature and Culture at the University of Southampton, UK. He has taught Rushdie in the UK and in Finland and is author of Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak (Routledge 2002).
