Jeremy W. Pettit, PhD, is professor of psychology and psychiatry at Florida International University. A licensed psychologist, his clinical research program focuses on the etiology and treatment of anxiety, depression, and suicidal behaviors. He has published more than 150 scholarly works on these topics and received multiple awards for his work, including the Edwin Shneidman Award from the American Association of Suicidology and the Self-Help Book of Merit Award from the Association for Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies.

Ryan Hill, PhD, is assistant professor of psychology at the University of Texas at San Antonio, and adjunct assistant professor of pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine where he studies suicide prevention among youth and young adults. He is a member of the American Association of Suicidology, and has published more than sixty scholarly works on suicide prevention and child and adolescent mental health.

Pettit resides in Miami, FL; Hill resides in San Antonio, TX.
