detailed reports showing student purchases, returns, and prices.
Is there a contract to sign with Adams Book Company, Inc.?
No, the school only commits to using Adams Online when they provide us with their course and book
list each semester.
How does ordering work?
The school will give Adams a list of courses and the books being used for those courses. Adams
will set up a web page under the school's banner for the students to conveniently find and order
their books. Adams will order the books in advance and have them stocked and ready to ship from
its own warehouse for prompt delivery.
What will Online ordering be like for the students?
The ordering process incorporates "state of the art" technology. It is user-friendly and straightforward.
Students will simply enter the course number they are taking. They will view a list of required books
for that course and have the option to purchase all the books or selected titles. After shopping, they
will enter their credit card number for processing.
Is entering a credit card safe?
Credit card purchases are protected by encryption technology to ensure the security of your information.
When will billing take place?
Your students will not be charged for their books until the books have actually shipped.
However, if multiple shipments are required to complete an order, shipping charges for the total order
will be applied to the first billing. Subsequent shipments will reflect the cost of the books shipped
but no shipping charges.
What if parents don't have a credit card?
There are different options for solving this problem. First option: the parents can order the books by
sending a "money order" to Adams for the cost of the books. Second option: Adams can supply the books
directly to the school for distribution to the students. Shipments will be billed and shipped to the
school at additional educational discounts. We will work with your school for the best solution to meet
the needs of your community.
What if student expenses are being subsidized by getting student aid?
Adams has developed a system that assigns account numbers to "financial aid" students that can be used
in place of a credit card number. The books will then be billed to the school.
What if a student changes classes and no longer needs a book?
Students have 30 days from the school's 'course drop/add' date to return the books. Returns must be in new condition.
